sdfits and fits

Can we please have a function to write out as fits? At the moment we can create an sdfits, and this is readable by gridzilla. From there is can be converted to a fits 3D datacube (even though it is a 1D spectrum!). From there the "convert" facilities inside starlink can bring it back to a standard fits, as readable in programs like class.

But it would be appreciated if we could go from asap to class directly, without the needed to bring the data from asap, through gridzilla, and then through starlink, finally ending up as readable by class.

Mark Calabretta can handle sdfits and fits with livedata / gridzilla. Cannot asap also do so?
