ITEMIZE: please explain "item"

Description
The documentation in ITEMIZE is confusing because the term "item" is not defined precisely enough. For example it looks reasonable to type
itemize in=myimage/crpix1
but this exits with an error.
The attached patch attempts to address this.

When I try to view the patch file I get:

Attachment 'itemize.patch' not found
You should have the necessary unix permissions to update itemize.for directly.
