Need function to merge IFs

Description

The observation uses the IFs to increase the bandwith around the source. The final spectrum should regrid/align the two IFs and average or select by TSYS the overlapping region.

This is fairly complicated and probably needs to be specialised. Currently I know of:

  • Tidbinbilla data mentioned in the original ticket: 2 IFs - regrid needed

  • MOPS broadband data: 4 IFs, varying overlap regions - integer channel shifted

The issues are:

  • How to average
  • How to treat the baseline of each spectrum
  • What to do with the Spectral coordinate over broadband data.
