Simplify reconstruction code

Currently we have three separate functions for the different reconstruction cases. It would be much more tidy to unify these into a single class that handles the reconstruction in a straightforward way.

Also, it would be good to have parameters like scalemin/scalemax etc in the same class, along with the filter information. This would enable straightforward testing of the validity of the max scale, for instance.
