Description (last modified by )
Create a simple CABB data simulator that can write rpfits files with structure similar to those that CABB will produce. The main issue is the large number of channels, and the large number of simultaneous frequency windows. CABB will be able to do 2x(2.048 GHz with 4097 overlapping channels, 16x 1MHz with 2048 independent channels). The 16 zoom bands can be concatenated into a spectrum of up to ~17408 channels (8*2048+1024) - zoom bands must overlap to concatenate them.
This simulator will need to be updated from time to time as the true CABB data format is still under development. Some issues that will need addressing:
- syscal data
- tsys and xy phase spectra
