    2727   * moved Linux build to 'phoenix' - needed for recent enough compiler
    2828   * moved Solaris build to 'cetus', after 'attila' was unceremoniously deactivated.
     29   * this work also allows dealing with the large array problems that {{{ptrDiff}}} was developed to address.
     30 * Emil described his work on reimplementing {{{pyflag}}} in C. It's much faster now but uses the same algorithm. Needs a better way to characterise the noise so the software can select things that are 'abnormal'. Needs to be built on other platforms and given a test drive.
