• get ​python 2.5
• get setuptools - cd /tmp && curl -O http://peak.telecommunity.com/dist/ez_setup.py && python ez_setup.py
• ipython - easy_install ftp://ftp.atnf.csiro.au/pub/software/asap/osx-dependencies/ipython-0.9.1-py2.5.egg
• numpy - easy_install ftp://ftp.atnf.csiro.au/pub/software/asap/osx-dependencies/numpy-1.2.1-py2.5-macosx-10.3-i386.egg
• matplotlib - Get the package from our ftp server ​here, unzip and install
